The Cutlass is a compact metal lure designed for exceptional casting distance. Its erratic wobble, flashing action and feathered assist hook combine to imitate vulnerable prey, provoking instinctive strikes from fast-moving predatory fish.

This cork-lined lure tin comes with two metal lures — one 20g and one 40g — complete with quality treble and feathered assist hooks.

How to fish it: The Cutlass is highly versatile. Cast and retrieve at speed when fish are actively chasing bait, or slow the retrieve and allow it to flutter down through the water column when fish are holding deeper. Mix in pauses, twitches and changes of pace to create an injured or fleeing baitfish action. The 40g version is ideal when you need extra casting distance, stronger currents or want to fish deeper, while the 20g is better for shallower water, calmer conditions and a lighter, more subtle presentation.

Choosing your lure: Start by matching the hatch — choose the size that best resembles the baitfish you can see or expect the predators to be feeding on. If you're unsure, the 20g is a great general-purpose option; switch to the 40g when you need to punch into wind, reach distant feeding fish or get down through deeper, faster-moving water.
