How to fish it: Cast and retrieve at a steady pace, allowing the lure to swim naturally through the water. Vary the retrieve speed and depth to find the fish — slow it down close to the bottom, work it through deeper gullies and reefs, or speed it up when predators are actively chasing baitfish. Occasional pauses and changes of pace can trigger following fish to strike.

Choosing your colour: Three colours give you options for different conditions. Green is a natural choice in clear water and when matching sand eels and other baitfish. Black & red creates a strong silhouette and contrast, making it particularly useful in murky water, low light or deeper water. White is a highly visible all-round option, ideal for imitating pale baitfish and useful in clear water, brighter conditions or when fish are actively feeding. Watch what's in the water and match the hatch where possible — but don't be afraid to switch colours if the fish aren't responding.
