Diver Pollock

The Diver is built to explore different depths, with a lifelike swimming action, reflective finish and realistic baitfish patterns designed to trigger strikes from predatory fish. Internal ball bearings create an enticing rattle while also improving casting efficiency and distance, helping you cover more water.

How to fish it: Cast out and retrieve steadily to let the lure dive and work naturally. Speed up the retrieve to create a more urgent fleeing-baitfish action, or slow it down and add occasional pauses and twitches to imitate an injured or vulnerable fish. Vary your retrieve speed to explore different depths and find where the fish are feeding.

Choosing your colour: The mackerel pattern is a great all-round choice when mackerel and other silver-green baitfish are present, particularly in clearer water where its natural colours and reflective finish come into their own. The pollock pattern provides a darker profile and stronger silhouette, making it a good choice around rocky ground and kelp, in deeper water or lower light, or when juvenile pollock are part of the food chain. Watch what's around you and match the hatch where possible, switching patterns if the fish aren't responding.
